This map uses a colour scheme and fonts based on Calgary Chinatown’s branding. Each café is represented by a realistic illustration of its signature dessert, scaled to appear iconic. The project involved research through food apps and in-person visits, with price range as the main data point due to varied opening hours. Landmarks like the Bow River and Calgary Tower help orient viewers, and design elements like outlines and highlights enhance visual clarity. The map aims to be tourist-friendly and easily understood across language barriers.
