Hyein Anne Kwon is a student completing a BDes in Visual Communication Design at Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts). She specializes in illustration and character design while having some graphic design skills on the side.
Anne’s multicultural background shapes a unique creative voice, bridging Asian and Western cultures through thoughtful, delicate, and aesthetic storytelling. Whether creating visual strategies in editorial, commercial, concept art, and institutional fields, her work centers on timeless values like love and family, inviting reflection in a fast-paced world. Especially, she believes in bringing challenging, thought-provoking content into her work, encouraging viewers to pause and ponder those topics through editorial content.
Drawn to the belief that everything can be beautiful depending on how you see it, Anne naturally gravitated toward advertising and commercial fields. Her vision is to help clients express their most authentic selves by uncovering and emphasizing what is truthfully beautiful about them. She also values education as a powerful way to pass on these core ideas to younger generations, using intuitive visual language to make lasting messages resonate. Driven by observation and a strong sense of clarity, Anne aims to create visuals that are both meaningful and visually compelling.
