Hyein Anne Kwon is a fourth-year Visual Communication Design student at Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts), with a major in Illustration and Character Design. She believes that art is the core of storytelling, drawing inspiration from fine art for its expressive nature and emotional depth. Her artistic practice is driven by a sharp, analytical, and strategic mindset, and she uses both illustration and graphic design to distill profound and challenging narratives into simple, accessible visuals.
Her process is thoughtful and purposeful, finding beauty in everyday moments while condensing complex ideas into a digestible form. By combining a clear, problem-solving approach with the ability to see the whole picture, she creates visuals that are both insightful and approachable. Ultimately, she aims to help clients and audiences express their most authentic selves by uncovering what is truthful and beautiful about them.
