Create a grain information illustration for educational purposes for elementary school students, the target audience, including the organisms teeming in the environment.
Create a grain information illustration for educational purposes for elementary school students, the target audience, including the organisms teeming in the environment.
The Solution:
I aimed to capture the joy of a Thanksgiving harvest using blue and yellow to highlight life’s golden moments. Farming, essential to our survival, inspired my use of Garamond—a serif typeface that reflects tradition and clarity. The illustration features eight grains commonly harvested in Alberta: wheat, barley, rye, pea, corn, flaxseed, canola, and oats.
