The Solution:
This illustration celebrates Calgary Chinatown’s heritage and multicultural future. Integrating the Bow River with plum blossoms, symbols of resilience in Chinese culture, the work depicts diverse community members engaging in cultural activities together. It envisions Chinatown as an inclusive destination where visitors of all backgrounds can experience and appreciate Chinese traditions within this historic neighborhood.
